Today we took our residents for a special holiday lunch at Salvatore's Italian Gardens. The decorations were spectacular. There was something for everyone from a north pole display, gingerbread house, beautiful trees, snowflakes and angels. Everything was sparkling. We all enjoyed this magical time.  Please visit our website at http://www.edenheights.com/eden.html

Holiday Family Party

On Saturday we had our annual Family Holiday Party.  Everyone enjoyed our entertainment by Lyle Stang who got the crowd dancing and singing.  Many compliments to our dietary staff for the delicious roast beef, chicken wings, taco dip, veggie pizza, fruit, cookies, and punch.  We also raffled an afghan made by our resident Rose Mariani who raised $100 for St. Vincent dePaul Society. What a wonderful donation to a worthy cause.  The party concluded with door prizes for the lucky winners! It was a great success thanks to everyone! Happy Thanksgiving

Eden Heights would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. This week our residents  took time to reflect on the year and share what they are thankful for. Many said they are thankful for friends, family, food, Eden Heights and the staff. They feel very fortunate and thankful. Even for the  little everyday things. We are also thankful to our Dietary staff for preparing our delicious Thanksgiving dinner of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, cranberry sauce and of course pumpkin pie. They made a wonderful meal. Everyone will finish off the day visiting family and friends or having fun playing games in our activity department with each other. Scavenger Hunt

Thursday we had a scavenger hunt. Our residents ventured out thru the facility looking for their items. Everyone had so much fun. Well, except maybe for stephanie who had locks of her hair cut as one of the many items needed to win the hunt. Yes, she still has plenty of hair left and was a good sport. The residents also had to ask  Trisha to do a dance for each resident involved and then sign their paper as part of the hunt. No one was safe. But both staff and residents were involved and had many laughs. Please visit our website at http://www.edenheights.com/eden.html

Something New!

Friday at eden heights we had a new program for our ladies club activity. It was time to relax and be pampered. The ladies were treated to aromatherapy (vanilla), relaxation music, heated hand lotion, back rubs, desserts, coffee and flavored teas. Needless to say it was a big hit. The ladies really enjoyed this special time and are asking when the next time will be.

Monday afternoon our residents were treated to a special entertainer. Her name is Danielle DiStephano and she entertained the residents with her beautiful operatic voice. She sang arias and broadway tunes. Her voice is amazing. The resident lined up after to meet her. They said she sang like an angel. Danielle is only eighteen and hopes to make a career out of her singing. Our residents are sure she is on her way. Please visit our website at http://www.edenheights.com/eden.html

A fun way to start the week

This morning our residents took a autumn ride to Mayer Brothers Cider Mill.  They enjoyed the sunshine and the beautiful colors that the fall season brings.  We bought tasty treats like cider, apples, baked goods, jams and jellies.  Later we enjoyed our cider and donuts while listening to readings of "Stories of the Heart".
The afternoon also brought fun and entertainment with John Little, who had our resident John trying out his singing voice. Also John and Julie were dancing the afternoon away. They prove to be dancing contenders. Maybe they should go on dancing with the stars. Fun was had by all. To end the day there will be card  games with our loyal volunteers Rich and Judy.
