Mardi Gras - Fat Tuesday Fun!

Guess what! We had another party at Eden Heights. Yes, we do know how to celebrate. It's Mardi Gras time. This morning for our craft we made Mardi Gras masks to wear. In the afternoon during our party everyone wore their beads and masks while taking a chance throwing dice for a prize. Then we crowned our king and queen and looked for the hidden Mardi Gras babies. We finished our party by enjoying sweet treats for fat tuesday.

Valentine Celebration

Sunday we started off  our Valentine celebration with a delicious sweetheart dinner which included stuffed chicken breast, twice baked potato, asparagus and triple berry cake. The residents also received valentines made by area school children and then enjoyed a valentine gift raffle. Later in the afternoon entertainment was provided by the wonderful Grandfathers Orchestra who played  favorites of the forties era and had us dancing, singing and bringing back memories of the past.

Go Red For Women Campaign!

Today was the Go Red For Woman Campaign sponsored by the American Heart Association. Heart disease is the is the number one killer of women over the age of 20. The residents and staff of Eden Heights decided to participate in the campaign to support education and awareness. I would like to thank everyone who participated by wearing red and making a donation. Together we collected one hundred twenty dollars. Great job everyone!    Please visit our website @ http://www.edenheights.com/eden.html
